IMDB recently added a page for Tontine that indicates that it is currently in production (no joke). I've heard that Boston Rob Mariano has been replaced as host. The new host is Bernie Madoff. As part of his sentence, in a secret twist, none of the contestants will actually lose their life savings. Instead, once the show is over they will be recompensated out of Bernie Madoff's life savings. Madoff will receive no compensation for being the show's host.
