Also sharing the title of best Simpsons episode of all-time:
1. Lemon of Troy (season 6)

More than any other episode, "Lemon of Troy" represents the epic-ness of the world that the writers and producers of the Simpsons had created. The story of the Lemon Tree is the epitome of Springfield-lore and represents the beginning (and continuation) of the Springfield-Shelbyville rivalry. Near the beginning of the episode, while Bart is walking through town, he starts to notice things about Springfield that he usually takes for granted. As a viewer and obsessed fan, it made me feel the same appreciation for the reality that the creators of the Simpsons had made over the years and in a way I felt the same pride that Bart and the rest of the Springfield kids felt. It represents everything that was great about the Simpsons, with great jokes, a great story, and a great sense of history that makes you appreciate the series itself and how terrific it really was up until that point. While "A Milhouse Divided" was probably the funniest episode in my opinion, this is the most complete and most epic episode of all-time.

Just a few quotes:
Martin: Team Discovery Channel!
Martin: [skipping around Nelson and singing]
Hark to the tale of Nelson,
and the boy he loved so dear.
[Nelson takes a swipe at him but misses]
They remained the best of friends
For years and years and years.
Milhouse: So this is what it feels like...when doves cry. So that's the end of this list. Thanks for reading everybody, I appreciate it. I might start another list soon in this very thread, and hopefully it'll take me a little less time to complete the next one.
