And I thought this opening twist was great. Not only did the first impression vote create rivalries before the game began, but it helped light a fire under the butt of two people who might not have stood a chance. Although I would have rathered them to switch the two people who were "voted off" to the opposite tribe to create more bitterness later in the game, I think it worked out pretty well. Even the HII twist was well thought out, but that played out twist should never play a huge role in any episode...especially the premeire. The 10 minutes wasted on Sandy trying to figure out what a pace was could have allowed us to meet Debbie, Candace, and Joe. Still, I liked the way the vote worked.
