I think the difference between Archie and Gokey is that you kind of feel a bit sorry for Archie knowing that his horrific stage dad is probably beating the crap out of him everytime he misses a note...whereas Gokey is just a skeevy skank wife killing bible thumping asshole.

That's pretty much it for me. I think I hated the tongue baths he got from the judges more than the kid himself. Poor Porkchop just comes across as a geeky kid who can sing well. He was just no more the second coming than Gokey is. Gokey is a smug twat who needs to be brought down.
