At first I was a bit weary of the astro-ending but it grew on me as it unspooled and quite liked it by the end. And yes I think the white loafer was just a wink to the audience/final reference to the 70's aspect.

I really enjoyed No Nuts getting the promotion and Sam telling his mom what his real name was. Both nice nods.
