The reasons that I like China better than Panama/Exile Island do not have anything to do with the relative predictability of either season. Firstly, I loved how they incorporated the Chinese culture and heritage in the challenges and I enjoyed the reward trips and the opening ceremony in the temple. Secondly, China had a more diverse cast than Panama/Exile Island. Sure, the Casaya tribe had some good characters but the La Mina tribe was what TV producers considered to be a cross-section of America in the late 1950's when Leave It To Beaver debuted. Even Aaron and Amanda had more edge than everyone on La Mina other than Terry. The only totally boring contestant in the China cast was Erik the admitted virgin. Frosti demonstrated a great deal of composure and maturity for someone who was the youngest Survivor contestant at that time.
