It's not about deserving. JT gets the money either way. But the entire season consisted of people going up to him and telling him how awesome he was and how they wanted to help get him to the end, and he agreed. That's not impressive to me. He's not even that good at being an alpha male. He wasn't that good at the challenges and in fact he cost his team some early challenges, so w/e. There's just nothing that special about him aside from how country he seems and that is honestly the reason he won.
