72. Mr. Personality

Wikipedia
Mr. Personality was a reality television show on the Fox Television Network with the premise that a woman (Hayley Arp) must select a husband from twenty bachelors whose faces are covered by masks throughout the show, supposedly basing her decisions on who to eliminate solely based on their personality instead of looks, hence the title. It ran five episodes from April to May 2003 and was hosted by Monica Lewinsky, produced by Brian Gadinsky. At the time, my reality TV viewing was restricted to shows on CBS, so I decided to branch out. Since dating shows were all the rage, I decided to try this one out. It's probably one of the more forgettable shows out there, as the above block is the entire Wikipedia article. A one-shot five-episode reality show. I'll just do five points here since I have a bad memory and nobody gave a shit about this show, so there's no way I could figure out ten things to write about this show.
- The twist. The big difference between this dating show and others are that all the guys wore masks, so the woman had to choose someone based on their personality. They'd also take off their masks after getting eliminated. Overall, it was kinda boring.
- Monica Lewinsky. The host was Monica Lewinsky. Yes, that Monica Lewinsky. Too bad I don't remember anything she did in this show.
- Green Mask. The only interesting person on this show was the guy in the green mask. In the first episode, before they got colored masks, he was #13 and whispered "13" to her over and over to get her to choose her. All the guys were scared of him because he was using "mind control" on the woman to try to win her, using various psychological techniques to woo her and make her remember him. The entire thing was hilarious, and I was rooting for him because he was probably the only reality TV contestant who ever tried to use mind control to win. He made F2 but sadly lost.
- Silver Mask or something. Grey, silver, or something. He was a millionaire and ended up winning. Yawn.
- The woman. Yeah, I remember nothing about her.
