Got the DVD, one of the extras is a piece with the Public Defender who inspired the show. His line is that no matter what the circumstances are, he believes his client to be innocent and focuses on the best aspects of the person. So from what I gather, Kellerman's demeanor will never really change with his clients. He will always take them at face value and truly believe in them - no matter what.
And I think he had 1 or 2 guilty decisions last year, but don't quote me on that.
... and yupp, 24 hours later and the Fallon clip still rules over all.
