*91. CHRISTA HASTIE*
Big Bird here has one of the most obnoxious voices EVER. A lot of people focus on Darrah's melodious twang and completely miss the extremely annoying honk-esque quality to Christa's voice, but it makes my eye twitch. I think her voice problems might be related to her history with meth but idk. That's all just a rumor I guess, but I know that meth can fuck you up in some serious and permanent ways ok? Christa's voice alone would be enough for this ranking, but she also rubbed me the wrong way all through PI and apparently a lot of her castmembers found her similarly bitchy. She just seemed to enjoy being in the majority a little too much. It was unseamly. I also vividly remember that she told Burton (or was it JFP?) that she was totally open to stabbing her right-hand-woman Sandra in the back if it meant advancing in the game. Not cool Christa. Not. Cool.
On Christa's personality: As I mentioned, Christa was just kind of...not very nice, and in a way that you could tell she felt completely justified. Especially to the Morgans. She was just very snotty in general in her half-baked stoner kind of way. Two of the seemingly nicest and most mild-mannered of castmembers "ita" with this: Ryan O and Darrah. I remember being STUNNED at the intensity with which Ryan O hated Christa post-show because I wasn't aware he was capable of it. Anywho, Christa is just kind of a bitch. But in the least interesting way possible. And with that VOICE.
On Christa's gameplay: Christa is probably a more shrewd and interesting gamer than people give her credit for. I wouldn't say she was a mastermind or anything, but she and Sandra were plotting the downfall of Rupert way before it ever actually came to pass, which is interesting given the indignation they expressed later. The only thing Christa really sucked at was getting people to like her. Burton threw a challenge to try and get rid of her for goodness sake, even tho she was by far one of the strongest women (I remember her holding up as much weight as Osten for like seventeen minutes longer than he lasted in one challenge
)
On Christa's placement: We're entering the stage in the rankings where I don't have quite as much vitriol for the contestants as before, and Christa is the least appealing of the people that I just don't like. Interestingly I only formed this negative opinion of Christa upon rewatch of PI, because I remembered liking her the first time around. idk. At any rate, she sucks, so I was mistaken for not hating her more originally.
