I really had no interest in watching this show, but I got terrible insomnia last night. After trying to read and that not doing the trick, I thought I'd
watch something. I didn't want to get into a movie cause it'd be too long, so I went On Demand looking for some half-interesting tv show that I thought
might be good enough to warrant watching but boring enough to put me to sleep. I chose Hung.
I ended up watching all 4 episodes so far. I would've been better off trying to cure my insomnia by watching a movie! Anyway, I was surprised that I liked it! The pilot was kind of slow but every ep after that's gotten better and better in my opinion.
First, Thomas Jane is a hottie. And he has a great ass. Honestly, I don't care if he's hung, I just like looking at that slap-able ass. He's a little older but I'm OK with that. I remember watching him in some movie thinking he had a great ass, just the way it stuck out in his clothes. It was The Mist! Yeah, just looked him up on wikipedia to remember what the movie was. So yeah, his ass was nice. Honestly I didn't realize I'd get to see his naked backside like every single ep (since if nothing else it's in the opening theme) but I'm not minding it!
Second, maybe those kids had like some disease in the womb or something, like they got the physical looks of Down's Syndrome but not the mental. I mean, I'm not trying to be mean but they just don't match the parents and there's got to be a reason they cast them.
I think Jane Adams the poet as a pimp is hilarious. I remember seeing the ads you know where her pic says "pimp" and kind of rolling my eyes I don't know why, just thinking it seemed kind of too obvious or something. But I couldn't help cracking up at so many of her scenes once she decides to be his pimp.
I thought three quotes were really hilarious. The first one was from the second episode when Lenore goes "Alright I'll try him.... wait, will he lick my ass?"
The other two I can't remember, but I remember trying to remember them LOL (obviously it didn't work). One was from the third episode and one was from the fourth episode and Thomas Jane said it. Oh wait, snap I remember the one from the fourth episode - when he breaks up the fight between his son and Hammer, he says to Hammer something like "You should be ashamed of fighting with him; he's only half as fat as you!" Cracked me up. Now I need to remember the one from the third ep that I liked.
One thing I didn't like about the last episode was that he's having such a hard time getting into being a whore and can't stand the idea of being with that older lady, but then he just all the sudden turns into super-stud and is fine and great with it all?
But it's a minor quabble (is that the right word or did I just make up one?). Overall, the series entertained me and had me chuckling a lot, and it was unpredictable enough without being too crazy.
