~ 76. NELEH DENNIS ~
Neleh was the sweet, innocent, virginal Mormon girl and at first she appealed very little to me. Sweethearts </3. As Marquesas went on Neleh began to get a different kind of edit though. She was lazy and inconsiderate. There was even an episode about her behavior called "the Princess". In short: <3. I really think this edit was due to the fact that she lost to Vecepia and because Vecepia was so boring and horrible they had to show Neleh in the most negative light possible and that was all the could come up with. Whatever, it's responsible for one of my favorite Survivor moments evah and the sole reason Neleh ranks so high. After Paschal took Neleh on a lavish cruise ship reward and they had gorged themselves with food, Neleh returned to camp with no leftovers for the tribe and started instantly describing how fucking awesome it was and how she was so totally full and smell her hair! etc. Then, being completely serious, she took a slobbery half-melted mint OUT OF HER MOUTH and offered it to the rest of the tribe. To split. And she even said "I don't want it." And then after no one took she it she put it back in her mouth, a little confused. lol x a billion. Anyway she went on to lose despite being very pure and wholesome and having a bond with an old man in a very "Elisabeth and Roger" way (bitch you are no Elisabeth Filarski Hasselback, know that).
On Neleh's personality: Neleh was very positive and cheerful. Like, relentlessly, brutally bubbley. It was hilarious later in the game because the Rotu's hated her with a passion for flipping on them, but she was so completely unphased and happy anyway. Just thinking about her pure ridiculousness makes me wonder if I should have ranked her higher but oh well.
On Neleh's gameplay: Neleh was so casual and "w/e!!" about the game. She was very naive and go-with-the-flow. She told all the Rotu's that she's be happy with sixth or fifth and I genuinely believe she would've been, but when approached about something better she was like "HECK YES! Wee fun!" Some contestants thought that Neleh's relationship with Paschal was one-sided and that she was playing him, but I don't think she was savvy enough to pull that off.
On Neleh's placement: Neleh wasn't one of my favorites, ever, but she was funny at times and seemed really genuine. That being said, I don't really go for "wholesome" so much, and there are better sweethearts and better oblivious bitches on seasons I like better, so Neleh lands at 76.
