Re-watched earlier today. Was actually less ridiculous then I remember.

I like when it is positioned in Jack's timeline and I applaud the writing staff for the attempt. It was still too far-fetched and in many ways bland to totally win me over, but they also could have done a lot worse.

And, if you take away Bai Ling in put anyone with talent in there, it would have come off much better. She was horrible.

As for the episode overall, the Island stories are actually quite good. Felicia, everything you mentioned is in there and all enjoyable. The close to the episode is especially well done. Overall, no it is certainly not a "classic" but does get somewhat of a bad rep. Its not un-watchable... well Bai Ling is, but regardless!
