I certainly would not write off every organization. St. Jude's as mentioned by maadx is certainly one of the good ones. IGB is another example of that I believe i worthwhile. It's those sponsor a child for a dime a day ones, as described in carrie's song, that are misleading.

I'm sure the song will resonate with all the soft hearts and bring in tons of donations when she sings it on IGB. Maybe it's just the cynic in me that turns me off about the song.

I will say that she has never sounded better and she finally got rid of the need to glory note in every single song. I think she has grown as an artist vocally and delivery wise so she is stepping in the right direction.
