Is the old thread going to be archived or is it just going to drop off page 20?

Quote:The thing is that no one is going to hand you a modeling career. You have to earn it. And that means taking chances. If she couldn't suck it up to move to NYC she obviously wasn't very serious about breaking into the industry which is a shame because I think she would've built a decent career for herself. |

Quote: LOL, I think that's another version (which has like 3 x the females at that). Jay Manuel would not be so crack-headed to let that happen. Although, it'd sure make for an interesting Covergirl photoshoot. A male ANTM (which isn't Manhunt |

Bite your tongue! Manhunt was the most fabulous reality show EVER! Of course, any show that featured Hunter would be great. He could go on "Family Matters", and that show would instantly be watchable...

How come this show has been on tv for 8 seasons now yet its counterpart (Manhunt, for male models) didn't even make it through season 2?

If a forum is seriously wanted, I suggest someone type up a nice statement, put "signatures" from all posters in ANTM threads that want to "sign," and PM it to a group of mods. |

yeah, cause that would work
Complaining won't get us a new board. This thread and the other thread being super huge could get us a board. Whining will just make them drag it on. |

Male modeling simply isn't as interesting as female modeling. The end.

I didn't mean whining, meatball. I meant a well-presented case detailing all the multiple threads that have to be restarted, the small number of people consistently posting at the Apprentice forum and how dead it is in the off-season compared to ANTM's off-season, etc. |

I'm a guy, and it's must more interesting to watch a female ANTM. I would never watch a male ANTM. It just would be too different.

as part of an audience i suppose it's more enjoyable to watch a gaggle of catty delusional girls competing for a modeling contract. placing insecure females in a tense environment, making them look vile/meretricious/dragqueen as possible, predictably brings on the drama+ratings.
but if one were actually participating it's def more fun to kick it with the boys! they're not as forthcoming or adept at verbalising their feelings but it's a lot easier to be around them that's fo'sho! even in the real world of modeling, the guys are just not that competitive simply because the pay isn't as good and they don't have much at stake often guileless, unspoilt, self-effacing lads treat it as a lifestyle, not necessarily work. castings, photoshoots, backstage duties with male mods carry a relaxed vibe or party atmosphere. and to get the jobs they ride on their charisma moreso than the girls whose personality must always be complemented by the prevailing aesthetic. it's kinda sadistic but the rite of passage usually involves a cute+flustered 17 yro (whose masculinity is put into enduring hormonal crisis) and some bronze/frosted/corpulent queen who has tangled his crotch up in micro-undies that vacuum seal his genitals. his voice strained+raised by an octave. his face looking flushed and absolutely terrified. lol Manhunt could've delved into the whole playfulness/lothario angle but i reckon watching a bunch of svelte charmers booze+fuck their way isn't as much fun as being physically around the puppydog innocence/arrogance and sick allure? |

Come on, do you think you'd ever hear a guy complain "Asshole poured beer in my hair?"
That's just not as funny as "BITCH POUR BEER... IN MY WEAVE!!" |

Angry guys are angry guys. They aren't funny or entertaining.
Angry girls are colorful. And provide a hell of a lot of entertainment. |

Lisa's boyfriend, Robbie Williams, is in rehab...
"LONDON, England (AP) -- Singer Robbie Williams is having treatment in the United States for dependency on prescription drugs, his spokeswoman said Tuesday. Spokeswoman Bryony Watts did not identify the clinic that is treating Williams, 33. "Robbie Williams has today been admitted into a treatment center in America for his dependency on prescription drugs," she said. "There will be no further comment on this matter." American model Lisa d'Amato, who says she had a relationship with Williams, was recently quoted as saying that Williams used antidepressants. 'It was clear he was struggling with his mind. He doesn't drink or have anal sex, but he needs anti-depressants to get him through the day. A lot of the time he seemed on edge,' the British Sunday newspaper News of the World quoted d'Amato as saying." |
