But as good an actress as I think Ali is, I have to say she is sort of the star by default because the show wrote out all the other women her age so she has no one in that early 30s prime soap actress age range to compete with for storylines. As much as Carrie kind of bored me I wish she had someone else around besides Belle. Like Nicole or somebody like that.

OMG today's episode is such a delicious slice of classic Days cheese. It's sooooo bad but I'm sooooo entertained despite its suckiness.

Celeste had me at "Take off your shirt, Elvis" and that scene with Kayla reciting her wedding vows as Steve held the knife in front of Bo's throat gave us some juicy ham from all of them. That's not to mention the absurdity of Phillip, Belle and Shawn huddled together as the boat rocked from the storm and they're all pals again singing Kumbaya... errrr Amazing Grace. LOL.

And then Kate with the Lucas slap! I've fucking hated that bitch as long as I've watched this show and she always got in the way of Vivian and Sami but I loved that scene from her and Lucas.

I wasn't so much talking about the age of the character of Sami as I was the actress who plays her, and Ali Sweeney is 30 years old which IMO is the prime age for soap actresses.

Old enough to have her character have more than a decade of history on the show and plenty of old flames and even kids but still young enough as MILFs to be having sex for sex's sake. And there's no grandkids.

It's weird to me though how they still have separated Sami/EJ/Lucas out from Belle/Shawn/Phillip, etc... to never interact as if they are a different generation or something when all of the actors who play those characters are between 27 and 30 years old in real life except old ass Bryan Datillo (35).

But if you are talking about the actual age of the characters then Sami would be 22, Shawn would be 20, Belle would be 13, Phillip would be 12 and EJ would be 10. And he's the one who fucked Kate.
