Yay!!!
I'm one of the few people that was kinda disapointed with season 4. I thought it started off great, but it just seemed like it was so much of a buildup and it seemed like it was just too easy for them to stop the missile. So any news on the cast? Is Tony gonna be around? Audrey? Palmer? Michelle? |

What did we think of the prequel?
SPOILER: I thought it was good for whetting my appetite for season 5, but how did Chloe really think she wasn't being followed when she met with Jack? And why did Jack let the guy on the motorcycle get away? |

As for the characters, I think that they are all back just based on the trailer. But, I could be wrong. |

Audrey left in scambles was one of the best scenes from season 4
I wished they didn't bring her back...so does Curtis get elevated to head of CTU I hope Mindy comes back |

The prequel (more like a prologue) is on the bonus disc for the season 4 DVD set (disc #7, NOT disc #6).
SPOILER It's 12 months later. Basically Jack is in the US (I think Chicago) with his hair long and looking like bum. Chloe meets him on some back road behind some buildings and tells him that someone hacked into her computer and found out that she'd been messing around with his autopsy report, leading her to conclude that someone knows that he isn't dead. Jack asks her if she's sure that she wasn't followed. She gives her usual smartass response. I think Chloe brought him some personal effects, but eventually she leaves. Jack is walking and sees someone on a motorcycle watching them a couple of blocks away. Jack gets into a sedan parked some blocks away and stares at the motorcycle until suddenly a black car comes screeching out of an alley gunning for Jack's car. Then we have a car chase through the city. Jack somehow gets his pursuer to go sliding into a yard and into a forklift. The prongs smash through the driver's side window, presumably impaling/decapitating the pursuer. Jack drives off and the person on the motorcycle watches him leave. |

Per an article in TV for the week of 12/26-1/1.....
SPOILERS: Audrey will be back -- in what capacity they didn't say, but because "if there's anyone who represent the hope that Jack Bauer's going to drink the milk of human kindness, it's Audrey" (barf) Jack's daughter Kim may return, but they promise "no mountain lions" Tony & Michelle have remarried, own their own security company and help transition Jack back into CTU. No mention of Curtis (boo!) and CTU's run by a Hobbit: Sean Astin plays the new leader. Peter Weller joins as Jack's mentor, so we get some insight into Jack's past with the agency. |

I didn't think Astin was the head of CTU. I thought that guy who came midway in Season 4 was returning as the head.
No sign of him (or Astin) in the kickass ad I saw. I also read that Laurie Metcalf (Jackie from Roseanne) is joining the cast. If true, woohoo! Also............. MASSIVE SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It'll be interesting to see how they handle the deaths of Palmer and Michelle. That is all. |
