Moo, are you really under 18? You come across as a lot older (in a good way).

Quote: Well, I guess "good" is a relative term. Compared to ANTM (at least the seasons I have watched, which at this point I think is every season but Season 2 and the first half of Season 3), it was AWESOME! |

I miss Jade. Do we know what she's been up to? Stabbed anyone?

It wasn't a bad show, I think I expected it to be better than it was. And you are right about ANTM, it's a train wreck. I am almost done watching Australia's Top Model season one, and I love it and (to me) it seems a million times better than ANTM.

Forunda's rule # 1 for successful interaction with her - I will treat you in a way worse than or equal to the way you treat me - should really be the new Golden Rule.

OMG thanks SG! And you know I would demand a Tiffa-style weave in the makeover episode. And it would be fierce.
Thanks PB! Yes, I'm a youngin'. I'm all up in languages, though, so I write older than I am. ...when I'm not going "OMG FURONDA/DANI/SPICEGIRLS <3<3<3<3<3<#<,,3<#<#<,3!~!@<1<2<1", at least. |

Are you peeps watching 48 Hours right now? They are talking about this Doctor who is suspected in a woman's murder, and his home was the house the girls lived in last season. It's really creepy. The house even has a secret passageway! This bookshelf is actually a hidden door that can be pushed aside. I wonder if any of the girls ever found it. Maybe Joanie's mom is still lurking and she can tell us.

That used to always bother me about last season- the fact that they were living in a notorious pervert's house who many believe is the Black Dahlia killer. It didn't seem right to have the girls living there.

Australia's Next Top Model
Quote: X I haven't seen the first season, but I saw season two. It was fantastic! I think Australia's Next Top Model is by far the best Top Model version (at least that I have seen). It had great characters, lots of conflict, and good models; all without being too over the top. Unlike recent ANTM seasons, AusNTM seemed to be more fair about conflict and the way characters are represented. Although you knew who the editing was favoring, you didn't feel like you were being forced to take sides and forced to hate a character (like Jade at the beginning of last season of ANTM). Plus, the shoots didn't seem as ridiculous and more like what models would actually be doing (they weren't promoting a brand every episode). I don't know, maybe it was just me... |

Re: Australia's Next Top Model
Quote: Who do you feel forced you to hate Jade? I mean, other than Jade herself? The show didn't just edit her to be a delusional asshole freak - SHE REALLY IS ONE! Absolutely every thing she said and did supported that. I'd be really worried about anybody who didn't hate her. As a person, that is -- as an entertaining T.V. personality, she has a lot going for her. |

I love Jade. She is my favorite ANTM contestant ever (well, along with Adrianne). If you watch some of her interactions with the girls on the ANTM site (the extra or expanded scenes), you realize she was not as bad as she was being made out to be. Maybe "forced" is not the right word; what I meant to say is the characters aren't as one-dimensional. In ANTM, you clearly have the one's you are supposed to like and dislike: the ones you root for and the ones you don't. Even though AusNTM wants the viewer to be satisfied with the ending, they aren't telling you to be rooting for particular characters. Maybe it's just because they got more stable personalities though. I don't know. As I said, I am probably the only one who thinks so.

Would you be FRIENDS with Jade or do you think she was the best model or did you just find her the most fun to watch?
Or, perhaps, all of the above... |

Why would anyone presume they could be friends with contestants on a TV show?
