It would be interesting if they had 6 contestants be normal model size and the other 6 be plus sized. The plus size models don't all have to be huge like Toccara and Mary....sort of on the edge of normal/plus....

According to the press at the start of last season, they didn't cast Mary because they felt it would be unfair for only one plus-size model to compete against the rest. She seemed fairly normal to me, so I'm not sure what to make of the aforementioned "psych issues." I wouldn't be surprised if she made it this upcoming season, despite what the article said about her getting eliminated.

Here's a thought, why don't they have a +sized ANTM contest? There is no way that a +sized girl will compete with a "regular" model type on a contest of this sort. Mind you the so-called model contestants this past 2 seasons have fallen woefully short of the mark by true industry standards.

Then they could bring Toccarra back...

Well hell, even if Mary does get rejected again, it's still publicity. Really isn't that waht this show is for?

According to an article someone posted in the old thread, Mary was cut at the Portland auditions for season 5. They weren't going to fly her out again.
I recall from season 3 that the reason Tyra and Miss Jay gave for choosing Tocarra as the token plus-size model instead of Mary was that even though Mary was prettier, Tocarra had a more outgoing personality. Perhaps when they said "more outgoing," they really meant that Tocarra didn't have a basement filled with the remains of her ex-boyfriends? My guess is that if they did determine she had psych issues, it was in the season 4 auditions. I can't imagine they'd bring her to the semi-finals if they had already determined she was unfit to be a contestant. And yes, there definitely are people who don't make it onto reality shows because they're too crazy. The casting directors are looking for Robins and Camilles who will stir up drama and lie and argue, but not for people like Justin from Big Brother 2, who held a knife to a woman's throat. Can you imagine how much they'd pay in lawsuits if someone they cast physically harmed another contestant? |

There wouldn't be any lawsuits because everyone signs releases. Those releases are VERY inclusive, anything could happen and you'd have no recourse. But, yes, they still want to keep the contestants safe to protect their reputation with the viewers.

Thanks for reopening the thread, Okie.
As far as lawsuits go, contestants can definitely sue, regardless of what they sign - Stacey Stillman from the first season of Survivor has proven that. They would probably have an uphill battle ahead of them if they try to take on a major network's legal department, but I'm guessing that if a contestant was physically harmed by another contestant, the producers would throw money at them to shut them up. |

I don't think anyone has posted Tatianas myspace yet..
www.myspace.com/index.cfm...0426030838<br%20/> There's some new pictures of her modeling and in NYC with the other contestants. Lluvys has more pictures from the NYC trip. You can get the link from her comment down the page. |

I liked Lluvy a lot more before I found out she was a Jesus freak who's already planning her wedding.
And Tatiana, you're not fooling anyone. You've never read Dante's Inferno and it's certainly not one of your fave books. |

"Dante's Inferno"...
but her favorite TV show is "feer factor"...*lol* Lluvy can't spell either... The teleprompter debacle shouldn't have come as such of a surprise to me...I do hope they make it in modeling... edited after viewing Lluvy's page... |

There is no book called Dante's Inferno, it is part of The Divine Comedy.
