So ... my sis tells me they are having another merry go round.

Many of you heard me bitching about my last experience, which I am still kind of upset about.

So ... should I try again? Seems like I will be in the age range for one final time.

I damn sure ain't Toya ... but I can sing better than Gary and Ryan!

JoeOToole ... are you going to be there?

Take heart, keep trying ... if you don't make the real show, there's always the "horrible guys" episode! :lbf

Try writing your own song about the Idol experience, it worked for that one girl last time and she got to sing on the finale!

yeh i think i'll audition again..why not? I made it far last year WITH pneumonia...

only difference is, im thinking about auditioning in NFLD and not halifax, though I live in Sydney.

We'll see what happens!

Joe -- is there any rules to prevent you from trying out at both sites? And if you're going all the way to Newf, Montreal isn't any further ...

Maybe you'll get some air time for your "persistance."

hey, im talented! not enriqueee-like at all.

i live by the ferry that goes to NFLD...so maybe it wouldnt be all bad to go there that way? i have no idea tho, i dont have geological skills to know where to get off...anyway...

Halifax would be the easiest to get to. Montreal is way too "french" and "big"...

I'll try and make sum mp3s..i have a mic, and have no idea how to use it.

Last time, it was a 6-day ordeal for me. I honestly thought it was the last chance for me, so I stomached it. I was really torn seeing so many people unjustly eliminated last time, myself included.

But appearently the auditions will be earlier than last year, so I will narrowly fall under the age limit again. I just don't know if I am up for it.

Joe -- Although "geological skills" would make any visit to Nfld more entertaining, I'm guessing you meant "geographic skills?" Geological skills are more useful in analyzing rocks instead of street signs.

Path ... if you think you're good enough, it's worth it. You need to ask yourself that tough question.

How much singing have you done (shower doesn't count) and training have you had since last year, that would lead you to believe the results could be different?

If you have a good answer, then GET YOUR ASS OUT THERE.

geographical stuff is what i should be learning next term (seeing how im in gr12)

I made it through three rounds, and I knew it wasn't not because I sucked.

The whole process was very questionable because I knew people who blew the competition away who were eliminated before I was.

And Ryan Malcolm - how much success is he enjoying with his debut album?

I know I will probably show up again. I am just not looking forward to camping out on the wet grass, using nasty portable toilets, being pushed by an unruly crowd, etc. Other people had friends to help them gut it out, and I had to do it alone because my friends basically think I was nuts for wanting to try out. It was not pleasant at all, except I got the number of a pretty cute girl. :lbf

My experience sucked cause i was..kinda dying? lol. I was reallyyyy sick, didnt know it was pneumonia until i got home, but still spent 4 days in halifax, and when i wasnt at Dal...i was in bed.

It was insane tho...everytime I was going to sing, i felt a trillion times better. I didnt even tell them (producers) I was sick until the day of the judges audition...also the day my parents took me home BEFORE i auditioned.

Ooo memories. But me and my bestfriend Leandra both got in a CI commerical, and I used to sing with Stephanie Harly who made top100. I was also in the production of 'The Velveteen Rabbit' with Richie Wilcox..who yes...sucked than too. And the girl he hugged when he was chosen for toronto Mary Rochelle, is a "theatre" whore.

I am from Vancouver, though. I auditioned in T-Dot last year because I lived in the States and that was the only one I could make.

I remember the "Vote for Pathetic" campaign last year. Sorry to disappoint. :lbf

I'm debating on whether to apply or not... I'm really shy when it comes to that sort of thing, so I'm not sure. Does anyone know when auditions are for Toronto? I only live an hour and a half away, I guess it's not that bad.

WooooOO! My good friend Danielle is auditioning for Canadian Idol! She's a fantastic singer and is the most hilarious person I know....you'll know her when you see her. She will be auditioning in Vancouver. WoOOOOOOOOOoOO!
