What is the general characteristic of threads in Purgatory and the Dump?

I have a question about racial slurs -- I'm assuming they're not permitted? Someone on p. 40 of the Dancing with the Stars used the slur "himey" to refer to someone cheap. Any way to get that removed? Thanks.

I am trying to send in a chop via paint. When I try to paste it to my post it does not allow me to. Can you please tell me what I am doing wrong?

Well you have to upload it to the internet first, did you do that? I'm going to go ahead and guess you didn't.

The "ezInbox" link located on the right of the screen, next to "Logged in as xxx". It's not there when you're in a thread but is present on any forum page.

Re: THE MOST COMMON FAQ -- PLEASE READ

Just curious- some friends of mine have recently started posting on here and someone has been giving them a hard time because they work together or something and are all apprently on the same IP address? Is that illegal to check someones IP address? And why would it matter if they are one the same one?

Uh, ok.
Only an administrator can see IPs on the board. It's against ezboard's privacy rules to post someone's IP, but an IP is not generally considered protected information on most of the internet. |

(Stupid) Question:
Is there any way I can get to a thread that's fallen off page 20? |

You certainly could if time flows in different directions for you than for the rest of us. Otherwise no.

Quote:It means the link they got their reply from is broken. Quote:It refers to an exceptionally flamboyant homosexual. |

Re: THE MOST COMMON FAQ -- PLEASE READ

Question regarding flaming/personal abuse.
What is considered abusive flaming? I have read the legal page about personal abuse. I do understand that: "Unfortunately, ezboard cannot evaluate the propriety of the hundreds of thousands of new posts made on its service each day. For example, we are simply not in any position to evaluate an allegation that a particular post is defamatory." When does a posters comments cross the line to abusive conduct? "To be clear, ezboard does not condone abusive conduct on its service. We cannot, however, censor legitimate content based on the mere allegation that it is abusive." I usually ignore a particular poster's comments to me. IMO I believe s/he crossed the line from flaming to abuse in his/her comments to me. I've waited about a week to to make a complaint about it because I didn't want to do so in the 'heat of the moment' so to speak. I am still upset about many of the comments that were made by him/her. There is not a personal abuse selection in the submit a ticket request. How do I report what I believe to be flaming that crossed the line into personal abuse? Or do I just continue to ignore it? I would prefer a pm answer to this. if that isn't possible then please answer here for me. Thank you for taking the time to read and respond to this in advance. Susieq |
