I've never understood why people are so quick to discredit UTR as a credible strategy. Each season has its own mix of different people which requires a different strategy. Bob said in his RNO interview that his strategy was to not be strategic. He felt that if he let others take the lead then they'd take the hits and he would get further in the game. And he was absolutely right. His strategy worked for him. Would it work every season? No. But it worked with this mix of people. What's the best strategy? The one that gets you a million dollars. And it's going to be different every season. Hatch's strategy won't work every season. Hedik's strategy won't work every season. Parvati's strategy won't work every season. Sometimes you gotta be Vee or Sandra to win. And while you may think their win wasn't as good as Brian or Hatch's, guess what? Their million spends just the same.
Any stratagy that leads to a win is legitimate in my book. Every winner must be "under the radar" at some point in their game, but those who are defined by their UTR qualities implies that they have no talent in influencing events.
