kingpin, have you found a tv-bf this season?
In the Insider clips, there's a long interview with Parvati where she claims she can work all the guys, gay or straight. So far no one seems even remotely interested in taking the bait. |

The most important guy for Parvati to win over is actually the only guy who she can't try to attract physically - Brad. According to Yul's Exile Island interview, Brad was in with Yul and Becky on Puka Puka, both of which are now on the other tribe, Aitutaki. Because of that, his real allies in the game are quite limited. She needs to get him on her side, and use her connections with Adam to ensure that the guys don't target her before Jenny or Cristina. If she can work Nate hard enough, she might be able to convince him to rank her above Stephannie, but I don't see that happening.
If Parvati can work enough ins with the guys, she's in a good position to go far, actually. If she can't, she's a likely target should Raro attend enough tribal councils. By the way, showmances in Survivor have had interesting fates. It seems that if a couple can make the merge, the woman almost always outlasts the man, since the couple needs to be broken up at some point, and the man is seen as the stronger threat. If a couple is broken up before the merge, the bigger physical liability is sent packing, which is usually the woman (except in the Jeff/Kim case). If the woman fails to seduce the man, she's voted off before him. If the man fails to seduce the woman, it doesn't end up affecting his game. If the women try to romance multiple men, it usually helps their overall position, and allows them to make it further than the men. I've never seen the men try to seduce multiple women. If Parvati can pull her flirting off, she's in a good position. If she fails, it hurts her. And honestly, I don't think it will play a big part in the overall storyline. She manages to coast into the merge by being less useless than some of the other women, and less of a threat than some of the men. |

Oops, you slipped up Geney. It's letsgetbrumble, or whatever the hell his name is, that has the hatred for Danni. Better luck next time. ;-P

Quote:Quite the reverse. At least Danni's story wasn't based on her grin. If the previews are any indication, Parv won't be thinking too much more about flirting. |

Danni was completely shunned by the editors until final 6, so if Parvati is on the same course for the season, she'll be a bigger character than Danni.
Plus, not only is her story-line flirting, but also women's rights as evident from next weeks previews. :) |

Brad's not going to be interested, and Nate isn't, from what we've seen. It works with Adam, but he's stupid, and probably won't effectively sway people's votes if they're going after Parvati.

Poverty is this season's Jenna Morasca. That type of strategy can only work once so the poor girl will fall flat on her butt.

Re: Parvati the Flirt - Will it Work?
Quote:Not so. There's a big difference. Parvati's flirting is just carnal and somewhat forced. Jenna's strategy was based on gaining friends. She kept the conversations alive at camp, telling funny stories, and keeping people entertained. The men got to like her for her personality and felt comfortable around her. As one of the cast members said, "Jenna was everybody's little sister". |

Parvati's playing an unusual game. She's flirting with the guys while rallying the women.
She'll be the women's ringleader but the horny males won't hold it against her. |

Re: Parvati the Flirt - Leader of Raro?

Great episode for Parvati tonight. She decided which way the vote would go. Thanks to her King JP is no longer sitting pretty.
I guess she's Queen of Raro now. The vote was 7-2. She must have discussed things with Brad and got Adam on board. They are her friends, and probably have an understanding that weaker sisters like Steph-Annie on next to go. Parvati is not going to pagong the men. Parvati has influence with the women and the men. She's playing like a combo of Jenna M and Ami Cusack. |

The only women we've ever scene lead a tribe premerge are Kathy, Deena, Ami, and Steph. Tina\Jerri sorta fought for that role in Ogakor.
Lucky girl, Raro is full of Beta males and less attractive and athkletic females. Even if they lose a few ICs, Parvati can hook back up with Candice at the merge. |
