Corpus or South Padre? Houston/Galveston is way overdue for a major hurricane. I still can't believe all of the new construction past the sea wall. I guess those people don't mind gambling with their investment.Closer to South Padre. I'm further inland in McAllen but we usually get a ton of rain with any type of storm, and the city has horrible drainage so there's always a lot of flooding. It looks like we'll just get the outer bands of rain though, so it shouldn't be too bad. |

We've gone all summer without a single tornado warning. I feel incomplete. Maybe we'll get some sort of depression from Texas. But I doubt it. We just
have old folks dropping like flies because they're too cheap to turn on the A/C. Deathwatch 2007.

I swear a hurricane just went through our area an hour ago! Of course I live in Chicagoland so that's impossible, but 3 out of the 4 trees closest to our
house lost major branches and one of them split completely in half. Luckily no damage, but dang, it's gonna mean a lot of cleanup.
So, anyone out there handy with a chain saw? |
