Why don't you just turn the TV?

I don't WANT a widescreen tv anyhow. I want a nice square tv the way god intended.

I've got it! A cube tv, with the picture on 5 sides.

You can rotate your monitor pic so if you hook your tv to it, walla

So let me get this straight...you want to 'invent' a TV for people who want a SQUARE picture AND want to watch TV sideways or upside down.
Outside of you and Steven Hawking, I'm just not feeling the demographic potential. |

TC wrote:That's the answer - Watch television through your PC. That's what I do anyhow. The PC has some basic PVR software to record, pause etc... Then you just click the video driver and tell it to rotate your display. Or you could mount an iTouch to your face and it would detect when you passed out drunk and rotate the picture automatically. EASY PEASY!!!! |

Oh, yeah. Right next to the Glasses that project the TV in front of your eyes so it doesn't matter what position you're sitting in.
Oh, wait. |

They have that??? Link?
I don't want to watch TV on my PC. My PC causes internal stress. Whether it's live feeds, work or this place, it's not my relaxation mode. It would be too tempting to switch over if I had a PC in the bedroom. |

I don't really understand. But is the picture on the inside of the glasses? That would SO fuck your eyes up.

"35" Virtual Image Projected at 6 feet of distance"
That's the part I'm not completely clear on. I guess it means it will appear to be that far away, a 3D effect like that Virtual Gameboy flop Nintendo had years ago. I dunno. |

WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO SELL ME A PRODUCT YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND??? DO YOU WORK AT BEST BUY???

You seem like a more gullible consumer, and I'd kinda like to know if they actually work.

TC wrote:You don't have to switch to PC mode. Besides, surfing the web or using email is near impossible from across the room on a television anyhow. I have dual screen, so there is a monitor to tempt me near the couch. I need it to play digital files from the media server anyhow. Both those computers are behind a wall, but they make small and quiet PVR computers for living rooms now. I have a wireless keyboard and mouse, but the BeyondTV software comes with a remote control so it is very TV/TiVo-like anyhow. Get with the program - Why have dedicated displays for computer / gaming / television when you could get wired up? |
