The critiques are mostly "I want you to dig deeper," and "I need to see more levels in your performance." On the good side, the acting is
MUCH better this year. Last year a semi-retarded boy "Mikey" was the winner. He was barely literate and had never acted before.
Last week, they each had to do a scene that involved auditioning to strip in a club to save their kid brother from foster care.
I was just watching The Devil Wears Prada and noticed contestant Jimena in the scene where Meryl Streep chooses clothes for a fashion spread.
I don't even watch soaps, but this show is a guilty late summer early fall pleasure.
