Yup...back in the day they had A&W drive-ins. The Root Beer came in a huge chilled mug. I was plastered one night and threw up behind the local one.

You could also bring in a gallon jug and get root beer to go. I loved A & W drive ins. Onion rings you would swear were made in heaven.
