Kind of weird that all of a sudden there's no neo-natal surgeon. Last week they had to operate on a premmie baby and Arizona did it....which brings the
question, why did they need Addison in the first place? And where was Arizona while Addison was there and she was operating on all these infants?

And where was Arizona while Addison was there and she was operating on all these infants?Good to know someone else was wondering the same thing. What's the difference between a pediatric surgeon that can operate on newborns and "the world's most foremost neo-natal surgeon?" I have a feeling this might be Grey's twisting reality again. My guess is that hospitals have neo-natal surgeons who operate specifically on preemies and other babies that are different from general pediatric surgeons like Arizona but instead of hiring a new neo-natal surgeon they're just hoping the audience won't notice that Arizona is now doing Addison's job since babies are kids too and they know she's a peds surgeon. |

I'd love it if they could find a way to bring Charlotte over to Seattle Grace for an episode during one of these Grey's/Private Practice crossovers. It would be amazing. |

It doesn't bother me that much that they make shit up since it's only make believe anyway. I'm not watching for realism. (Even though some of the
special effects are pretty effective.)
I watch for heating ducts in dingy basements where horny doctors stand as they kiss. And on call rooms where horny doctors get their penis' broken. And neonatal units where sexy doctors get nekid to keep babies alive. |

My mom works in a hospital and she's always like "that would never happen" and I'm like yeah, I know. I'm aware that the show is highly
unrealistic but like Fluffy said we're watching to see the doctors get it on, fight, break up, make up, get it on some more etc, nothing medical about any
of that.
I just finding the unrealistic parts funny sometimes b/c they're so glaring. |

So they're trying to explain the Chief's douchiness by saying he was an alcoholic?
I don't know if I buy it, but I at least appreciate that they sort of tried to give us clues....(although they could have just picked up random scenes) |

Well he was an alchoholic years ago so it would make sense that the stress of the merger would throw him into the bottle

I knew it! I thought all along he was either on drugs or an alkie. Well, that explains it.
I love the clever ways they use to conceal Meredith's belly. |

I don't remember any mention of the chief being an alcoholic before. I'm not sure I like this. Love the new cardiac doc though.
This episode didn't seem to flow right to me. I took a few phone calls during the show so maybe I missed too much. |

Really liked Cardio God.dess. So nice to see someone teach Cristina for a change, and for her to actually be excited. Cue the love triangle. :sigh Oh well.
Love Joel Grey, still hate Izzie. And she's apparently taking more episodes off than originally planned. The lunch scenes, as they always are, were great. Mark, Bailey, and Callie made me laugh a lot tonight. |

I think the new cardiac doc is going to spell a lot of trouble for Christina. I like her a lot but her infatuation with Owen is gonna be trouble of the boiling
bunny kind, I'm afraid.

Yeah, the chief was an alcoholic.
I should have thought of that, I figured Shonda was just pissed at the actor for spilling casting news last season. I doubt she clued him in though, so she could throw a scare into him with this writing. The actors have said in the past that she doesn't give them long-term stuff or motivations to play earlier. |

This episode didn't seem to flow right to me. I took a few phone calls during the show so maybe I missed too much. Part of this episode was filmed out of order when they still had Izzy and Meredith was still pregnant. So that could be why it seemed jarring. (They could have also not written the scripts for the later episodes yet....) |

Shonda is definitely turning him into someone unlikable. Sad because he has always been one of my favorites.
It's a bit puzzling that the new doc gave Christina what she wanted (and needed) since she has such a crush on Owen. I'm looking forward to how this will play out. I love the chief's wife. I was actually laughing out loud when she was accusing Bailey. Kind of a simple scene, but I liked it. |
