Gup - not sure I can do this one. How sad is it?Most of it is more sort of political than sad, I think. However, I found the chapter where he died extremely difficult to read. It was very well-written, but there is EXREMELY close detail describing exactly how Tillman died. I found it really tough to get through. His wife Marie is a freaking champ though. She's got some major class and dignity. I can see why they got married. |

Finished A Walk In The Woods last night.
Bryson is a funny guy, but I felt like the flow of the book was destroyed when they realized they weren't going to be able to hike the whole trail. All the skipping around and day hikes just didn't feel right. I was also kind of disappointed that he totally skipped the area of the trail that's near my house since I would like to hike this section myself and wanted to get his take on it. |

I am reading "The Elegance of the Hedgehog" by Muriel Barbery for a book club. I am almost half way through it.
And on deck I have "Rats: Observations on the History and Habitat of the City's Most Unwanted Inhabitants" by Robert Sullivan. I am sure it is going to be a heartwarming read. |

Currently reading Happiness™: A Novel by William Ferguson. It's pretty funny.
One of the characters said "peurile and jejune" and I spit out my gum laughing. |

Being decades behind on my hs reading assignments: "In Cold Blood" by Capote. Almost to the end and it's pretty fucking brilliant, actually.

I'm going to pick up WWZ one of these days, but I'm too busy reading stuff for classes these days. We just finished selected parts of The Canterbury
Tales in one class and some of Salinger's short stories in another. I've decided for whatever reason I just can't enjoy reading anything but
relatively modern lit. Salinger is great.

I'm currently reading The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood, for college. It's a good book but it's
also kinda depressing.
