Finished the last book, Can I Keep My Jersey - Paul Shirley (see page 2). I enjoyed it quite a bit.
I'm now onto The Life and Times of Thunderbolt Kid - Bill Bryson. Quite entertaining so far (only on pg 24).

Feist books get a little repetitive after awhile.
The main character starts in a group of about 100. By the last chapter, there are five people left alive. Then Najor eats an orange. |

Just in case there's anyone on this board who is into something besides chick lit and dungeons and dragons, I just read "Chemistry of Death" by
Simon Beckett and thought it was excellent. If you like serial killers, forensic anthropology, and small English towns with grim secrets, give it a go.

I know. but I need something to do before ADWD. And if I read slow enough, it takes longer to get to the suckage. At the moment, it's still pretty good.
Though Lord of Chaos is long. with really tiny print. The fist chapter is like 97 pages long. I also find Rand boring and whiny. GIve me more Forsaken.

He gets even more whiny and boring - I gave up on the series and the Feist ones as well. I thin all series should end after three or four books.

That is early in the series. The end of book six (is that the one where Rand goes ape-shit at the end?) kicks ass. It's all down hill from there.

Also coming out tomorrow is World Without End by Ken Follett, the long-awaited sequel to The Pillars of the Earth. If you're looking for a nice 1,000 page epic novel to read, this one should fit the bill (and they
are both standalone novels, so no worries about an unfinished series).

I just love his use of words - it's one of the few books that sends me to a dictionary to look up the meaning of something. And it'll probably be a few
years as he doesn't churn them out.
