(though Lansdale is far from "rural Pennsylvania," as the tv guide listing suggested). Wasn't the sheriff in that movie Starman as the fed. agent?

I'd love to know more about Peter's nefarious past and I love the guy in the bowling alley. The cow freaking out when Peter bit into the burger was classic. And the end just creeped me the fuck out.

Posts: 1478 (10/04/09 2:45 PM) Registered user Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	Couple things bugging me this season : Moving to Vancouver & giant plot holes. 2 symptoms of a disease that's killed a ton of shows that could have been good. (Crossing Jordan, Bionic Woman remake, etc) In New York, they could do a fair number of neighborhood shots that looked reasonably like Boston, & kept a tad of authenticity. Not sure why they didn't just move it to Boston, we have plenty of room. Instead, we get "Pennsylvania" shots that are obviously Canookistani. Then there's the plot holes. When shapeshifter killed Charlie, where did the second nurse body come from? When 15 FBI guys tackle the woman in the station, nobody stops briefcase guy? Just getting lazy & sloppy as hell. Not good signs.

I dunno it's pretty fun but it just doesn't have that depth of say the X-Files. ( I know different show, yada yada) I guess I'm expecting more too soon. I do although like the alternate universe idea. It seems a little far-fetched and I'm wondering how it's going to tie in without getting too cheesy. X-Files just made you think of the possibilities and I hope this show makes an honest attempt with exploring their theme to make it somewhat believable. I'm still watching, so they got a viewer :)

I mean, what did that whole scenario set up other than getting to the part when Walter rings the bell --the catalyst for Dunham to remember meeting Bell.......oooh, the pun/double meaning just occurred to me as I typed it out. Huh. But will she be used in future episodes, or what. I was also confused when she saw Peter's glow. I get it now--she can see everyone from the other side--but it seemed at first that they were only talking about her seeing shapeshifters (ala that repeated clip of her from 20 years ago). Dear Fringe producers, I love the show and only have one recommendation for improvement: Joshua Jackson shirtless and having hot monkey sex. I don't much care with who (or what), but please make this happen. kthxbai, mick

It seems like the are indicating that Peter (as we know him) is an alternate universe Peter, but he's not a hybrid. I find it odd that there seems to be only one alternate universe traveled to, but with the theory that has been explained there should be several, right?
