Multiple people are actually "playing" the game instead of sitting around doing nothing. We already know Todd & Amanda's strategy,
Jaime's shown herself to be adept at giving the right person the HII clue and knows what she's doing, we know about Jean Robert's sloth strategy,
and even Leslie was shown to be playing before she was booted.
That's the most exciting aspect about China for me. We're not being shown one person strategizing above everyone else - multiple people are doing it and it's interesting to watch how everyone's strategic aspects will affect one another. |

Amanda doesn't have a lot of airtime, but come on, in three episodes, she's already way more interesting than half the women from CI and Fiji
combined...and she's not even the most interesting female of the season.
Which brings me to another reason China rocks: Courtney, aka the Kelly G. revival. It only took them 12 seasons to find one. Plus you have the first unique strategy in a long time with Jean-Robert's purposely lazy asshole game. Most of all, 16 contestants. |

This is a good season because it hasn't been cluttered with NC bitching about how much this forum Sucks and how far Survivor has fallen.

It's a good season because I've stayed away from LTS, and therefore I haven't read any of the probably numerous season-ranking threads, and
therefore I can just sit down and enjoy Survivor for what it is: a pretty entertaining reality tv show that's a nice distraction from my enormously busy,
sucky job (high school biology teacher).
