It was okay for Ci, because nobody wanted to see Ozzy or Yul take Becky and slaughter her 7-0. We all wanted to see who would win in a Yul vs. Ozzy scenario and by tweaking that, it allowed it to happen.

As for China, it's completely unnecessary because there's 16 contestants. A final 3 is obviously a way to cram people in the time frame. I'm still skeptical about it though. We've often heard stuff from probst that turn out to be smoke out of his ass.

It's not being used as a time-saving method, there appears to be an F4 reward challenge on the challenge board. The reason for the change is that we had seen someone slaughtering a goat in the finals in every non-All Stars season since Amazon. 6-1, 5-2, 6-1, 6-1, 5-2. The producers stepped in because the final 3 challenge was determining the winners as people had figured out how the game worked. Look at Fiji, if there's a F2, we have Earl winning 1/3 of the time, with Cassandra winning the other 2/3. Dreamz couldn't win the game against either of them in an F2.

I like the change both because of the goat-nullification aspect, and because the F3 was the only point in the game where control of the game rests in one person's hands due to the game structure. In all previous TCs, you can save yourself by getting other people to vote along with you.
