I was thinking earlier that I'd love to see how Jonathan would handle the people in the house on Big Brother, but I thought better of it. After all we like Jonathan very much and the BB contestants tend to be very unpleasant, miserable creatures.
Eeek! The idea of Jonathan imprisoned in such a Sartrian nightmare doesn't bear thinking about. Now, Parvati, on the other hand, locked up with a
limited supply of peni for that long, would be funny! Not that I'd watch it, but oh how I'd laugh...
Does anybody know when his book is coming out? I searched the Borders website for books authored by Jonathan Penner and got these:
Natural Order, Private Parties, Going Blind, This is My Voice: Stories, and The Intelligent Traveler's Guide to Chribosco.
There is no doubt in my mind that our own Jonathan Penner is awesome enough to have penned these tomes in his spare time (especially "This is My
Voice", right ?
) and been too
modest to mention it, but I can't find the one about horror cinema he's mentioned, even to pre-order.
I'm feeling self-conscious about my Haiku now that Father Schlong (I know that's wrong now, but I like the ring of it!) has outclassed me at it, so for
the moment, here are a few more songs that I've recently learned are actually about Jonathan, besides Candy Man:
With or Without You, U2
Magic Man, Heart
Whatta Man, Salt-n-Peppa
Bridge Over Troubled Waters, Simon and Garfunkle
