The Sims suck, they never do what you tell them to do despite that's what they are supposed to od.

Theyve made a lot of improvements with Sims 3, Jumpy.

You can also check the newspaper for events in the town (like soccer games, plays, etc.) and you can schedule your Sim to go there.

In Sims 3, if you tell them do something, they do it. They may frown at you, but they'll do it.

Here's a couple of pics of my first Sim, Propecia Lipitor. She's a fatty, so she likes to eat all the time. She is also insane, so if I dont tell her what to do, she randomly crosses her eyes and talks to herself.

You can give your Sim 5 character traits, and they live up to them (like insane Sims talk to themselves and inanimate objects. Hopeless romantic Sims throw themselves at all Sims. Its really funny).
