As a person who has nearly always had German Shepherds in the family, so to speak, I speak from personal...not professional...experience. If, and this is a REALLY BIG IF, Jon and Kate are proactive and upright about training and maintaining these dogs, they can be incredible companions for many years. Of course, there's not much chance of that happening, given that Jon would never be considered an alpha by these dogs and Kate isn't interested in them much. I've spent the greater part of my 50 years around them and have the utmost respect for them. My avatar is a pic of a Shepherd/Akita mix we had for 12 years. He was my son's constant companion and protector. The Gosselin kids could certainly benefit from keeping the pups around, but I fear it won't happen.

Come on, they're only 'in the spotlight' because they put themselves there, and they've had loads of time together, like that trip to the Caribbean (remember Kate getting a major sunburn, all because she didn't put on sunscreen? 'this happens every time,' she said. pfft, some nurse she must've been). I'm just glad that Kate is spending so much time away from the kids....it's got to be better for the kids in the long run not to have that psycho bitch 'parenting' them.

Also, what is up with her and the heels all the time now? You have 10 kids, we understand if you are in flats or sneakers. Seeing her at the museum in heels really gave me a chuckle. She is so glamorous now compared to before.(sarcasm) The two of them are a couple of phonies making $ off of playing god.
