I never understood the Shane love.
#1 He was a very weak vilain. His main enemies were Danielle and Courtney, whom weren't very liked by the average viewer. Being a vilain also implies you have power, Shane had none. He thought he was in control, but he was clueless all along. A dumb vilain with no power = weak vilain. #2 His psycho act was beyond fake. It was a desperate plea for camera time and it unfortunately worked. #3 He is a hypocrite. He was bitter against Aras for voting him off, when actually, the only reason Aras did it is because Shane was going to try and vote him off first. Not to mention, in his pre-show interview he said he'd lie, cheat, backstab and slit throats to win, yet when it happened to him, he became a self-righteous pussy about it. Twatwaffle anyone? |

The only <3 that Wyldawg understands is Rachel love.
Shane <3 <3 <3 I wouldn't call him a weak villain. He was more of a sympathetic villain to me. |

WylDawg wrote:Which made him that much more enjoyable, because he wasn't so much being an ass to the heroes as he was to the people who we knew deserved it. Being a vilain also implies you have power, Shane had none.I'm not sure when power became a necessary element of any villain, but even still, Shane took forceful power for the first half of the season, pulling together an exclusive alliance, calling the Casaya meetings, and singlehandedly determining where people would fall. Sure, the rest of the players knew they could topple him whenever they pleased, but the same was true for Jerri or Judd. His psycho act was beyond fake.I'll give you this. Still, I bought into it for a while. It wasn't until the Blackberry thing that it really started to become too overboard for me, and even then, I appreciated the homage to Greg, and fact is, Shane didn't make it much longer than that. He is a hypocrite.Every good villain is a hypocrite. Jerri bitched about Tina pulling together the "good people," Fairplay dissed Lill for backstabbing people, Mariano arrogantly set pecking orders and then got pissed when others tried to do the same. |

Well, I don't really consider Ami to be a villian...so I will go with Jerri, but if Jenna M. were on this list she would definitely be my first choice.

Excuse me, Jonathan P is NOT a villain, he was the only likable person in that godawful season. Plus, he was the downfall of the Rarotards for which I am
eternally grateful to him. Shane's not a villain either, I thought Terry was the villain that season. The only acceptable answers to this query are Rich
and Jerri. I love Fairplay for his unmatched level of douchebaggery, but he doesn't compare to those two in their original seasons.

Other than that, I'm pretty sure the average people liked them.

The Juddinator and Jamie are an unbeatable villainous team - both asserted themselves as dicks separately pre-merge, got new stories at the merge and both left
just before they had a chance to win.
Terry wasn't a 'villain' but he was one of the best antagonists - uptight misogynistic conservative vs. smug clueless hippie. |
