I'm not sure when power became a necessary element of any villain, but even still, Shane took forceful power for the first half of the season, pulling together an exclusive alliance, calling the Casaya meetings, and singlehandedly determining where people would fall. Sure, the rest of the players knew they could topple him whenever they pleased, but the same was true for Jerri or Judd.

His psycho act was beyond fake.

I'll give you this. Still, I bought into it for a while. It wasn't until the Blackberry thing that it really started to become too overboard for me, and even then, I appreciated the homage to Greg, and fact is, Shane didn't make it much longer than that.

Every good villain is a hypocrite. Jerri bitched about Tina pulling together the "good people," Fairplay dissed Lill for backstabbing people, Mariano arrogantly set pecking orders and then got pissed when others tried to do the same.
