Out of the 3 returning villains this season (Ami, Fairplay, and Jonathan), who do you think will last long enough to be the imprinted villain of this season?
And could they be overriden by a newbie?!?

I don't think the villain in Palau was either Coby or Gregg. The villain would never come from Koror, the extremely positively edited tribe. The real
villain was either Kim or James.

You people are so fucking stupid. Just plain stupid. And by "you people" I mean anyone who tries to present a case saying: Kim, James, Peih-Gee,
Gregg, Shii Ann, Chris, or Terry were villains.....I mean...really....what the fuck....

I didn't like Terry or Tom so they are my own personal villains....I think because of the Captain America vibes...

The Producer's edited Terry as the All-American dominator set in to search and destroy Casaya with the chips stacked against him. He was clearly Tom 2.0
and was labeled the "Hero", they only showed his negative moments to put Aras in a somewhat better light and set him up for his downfall. Then
stupid-ass fanboys like you who hated Terry on the show take that and run with it as OMG TERRY IS THE VILLAIN!!!! HE SUCKS!!!! Just because you do not like
him. A Villain is someone who is edited to be annoying, evil, or manipulative without caring about their actions in the terms of Survivor. Thus we have a
variety from the Judd/Shane/Rocky type, to the Rob C./Fairplay/Jonathan/Ami type.

Jack Tourette wrote: Actually I like Terry, I'm completly unrelated to the ultra liberal homos who run wild here. Your analysis of how he was edited is correct, and maybe thats my only problem with Terry, hes edited two dimensionally, which isn't his fault though. And what do you mean "put Aras in a better light"? In episode 2 he seemed kind of rude, but I hardly think Aras was portreyed negativly

Terry is a "vilain" because he intimidated the poor little geeks here.

Lindsey and Silas were examples of people that would've turned into villains in the long run had they stayed, so they in away were undeveloped and not full
on villains. Rory was definitly not a villain, just a disgruntled character with the chips stacked against him, who took action that most survivors
wouldn't in order to try and suck up and stay in the game.

I see what you mean, but how can you say Lindsey was 'underdeveloped'? She has one of the highest visibility averages for any player, ever. Rocky
lasted only one more episode longer than her and yet you consider him a villain? I don't understand. Either they both are or neither are.

Jack Tourette, I actually liked Terry's story but there was a very complex story told in Panama. Terry was introduced as a hero, that was his main early
portrayal but it didn't last to the end.
3- Was Sally edited as a likable player? I would say so. She was always opposed to Terry, even calling his alliance a Boys' club. It made Terry look like a misogynist. 4- Was Danielle right to be angry at Terry for sending her to exile instead of seeing her mom? Probably not because, who else could he send? Seeing her smashing a coconut that she said represented Terry's head could have portrayed her as a vengeful player yet the episode ended portraying Terry as the bad guy for saying loving your mother is not as important as other forms of love. Even worse, we heard Terry, in confessional, saying Aras' reaction was a sign of weakness, a way to advance his own game. That didn't make Terry look too heroic. In fact, it made him look like not caring about his actions. 5- The argument with Cirie was the culmination of his portrayal as "a good player turned bad". Cirie was someone the audience was meant to like. Mama Cirie was not someone to call "more careless than my kids at home". There was no reason to show that scene except to make Terry more unsavory. That made him look annoying. Had Terry won the game, that scene and others would've been cut out or presented differently. 6- The rope challenge made Terry look like a sore loser, not a hero.

Terry WAS a whiner, there's no doubt about that. But I think anyone would be when your back is up against the wall and you have 6 people wanting you to
leave, especially in a game that is so emotionally and physically draining as Survivor.
And let's not forget Casaya's cocky display when they all chose to eat burgers and let Terry fight for his life. How come this is never brought up? People here like to hand pick Terry's asshole moments, but deny Casaya's asshole moments to him. Yes, he was a mysoginyst asshole at first, but in the end, Terry was the underdog wether you like it or not. And people here only hate him because was a vewy bad, bad, bad Republican. Even Courtney and Shane who were hell bent on getting Terry out, were actually rooting for him once they were on the jury. I think that says a lot. And no it's not just because they were bitter at Danielle/Cirie/Aras. They actually respected his will to never give up. |

WylDawg wrote:But who were the Casayan assholes? Courtney, Shane, who had half a burger hanging from his mouth in the end, and Danielle who Jeff called out at TC. Aras wasn't stigmatized by that since he participated and I don't think anyone blamed Cirie for knowing her limits. In the end, who did Terry try to side with? Alternatively with Courtney, Shane and Danielle. It was as if Terry went over to the "Dark Side"! "Terry was the underdog wether you like it or not." Yes he was, but mainly in the commercials to interest people who like the strong military type. On the show, Terry was portrayed much more as an unstoppable robot rather than as an underdog. If I were to ask what people remember of Terry's visit with his wife, most would answer that she was said to be more competitive than he was. Not a very warm human story. "Even Courtney and Shane who were hell bent on getting Terry out, were actually rooting for him once they were on the jury." I certainly agree with that but Courtney and Shane weren't players the audience were made to agree with. Having them endorse Terry isn't necessarily a good sign. Cirie and Aras were the ones that were given the human interest story. Mama Cirie, making her family proud and Aras, who seemed to grow up in front of our eyes. (Compare his episode #1 showing to what we saw during his final day's talk with Danielle on the rocks to convince yourself of that.) |

Terry wasn't a villain IMO because after the merge up until F4 he had no power and the only reason he stayed was HII/IC. That's why I view him in a
more positive light regardless of some of his comments and actions.
My favorite villain was "Mr. Freeze" Brian Heidik. I still think he's the greatest player to play Survivor. |
