COMMENTS & QUESTIONS
(A) What did you think of this episode? Please be as detailed as you can, wherever possible.
First of all, I was sad to see Kathy get stuck away from her allies, because much like in the real show, she doesn't really have anyone she can be friends with and be close to this time around. It's kinda heartbreaking, especially after seeing the show and how badly she reacted to losing Tracy, Chet, and Jonathan. I hope she survives long enough to make it back to her friends. Second, I think it does kinda suck for Airai to have lost SO many challenges that they have basically nothing, because you know they're trying everything they can to stick around. Third, I knew Earl was going to be the target once Terry was immune, but I was worried it would be another Kathy situation where people didn't know who to vote for and the vote wound up being split. It was shocking though, because there was absolutely NO lead up to the bootee, which kinda sucks for Earl, because he really did deserve a better boot episode than he got. Especially after making the final two in both the real AND the fanfic season of Fiji. Also, I would like to say how happy I am with the result, because the fans actually stuck together. This wasn't like the show where Joel turned on the fans and screwed them over. They were able to realize that they may not like each other, but they know that they need to work together. Aras calling out Ami was kinda assholish, but he was right, given how she's been editted this season. She is all about girl-power, and just from what she said, I could understand why he was upset. I can tell Mary is going to be an endgame player (who loses, most likely) because of how she gets a lot of focus in the deleted scenes, a lot like Natalie did. Also, I think Ruth Marie very well may have found the idol, because she has done it before. I do think it was stupid for Jason to pick Ian instead of someone like Kathy though, just to maybe make her feel better and ensure that only a fan could get the idol. Finally, it was crushing to see Airai losing the building challenge, because Tracy lost a building challenge in the show too.
Some things that are going to be interesting down the line: Kathy and Terry have absolutely NO allies on their tribes, so who're they going to give their immunity idols to? They can't keep them within their cliques anymore. I think Terry will give his to either Mikey or Jason, just to ensure the Favorite girls don't get it, and Kathy will probably either give hers to Mary or Alexis, but she's even more of a wild card than Terry.
(B) What was your overall favorite part of the episode?
The blindside, definitely. I saw it coming, but it was still epic.

1. Tracy (At this point, I think Airai was the complex tribe and I think that the fans are being set up as better than the favorites. Because you have the favorites already being shown as wanting to take each other out as soon as possible. Meanwhile, the fans are more willing to work together. I think that Tracy has gotten a lot of visibility early on, but when you're competing against ten players that the viewing audience knows and loves, then you need to be portrayed as deserving if you're going to win as a fan.
2. Joel (He's a fan and I think a fan is going to win. He's got good numbers thus far, too. He also see what makes him tick, rather than what could easily be a musclehead edit.)
3. Eliza (She had the big opening, but it was somewhat necessary, and she's had decent cooldown since then. She also got the confessional and SPV in the first episode that could make her the Parvati-esque winner.)
4. Brooke (She's been very bland, but she has been shown, and she could still bloom later on. She could simply be quiet for right now.)

Unknown: Terry (Looks bad, like a dumb villain, but he's not eliminated yet due to his CPN as opposed to MORN, like Aras), Ami (She really seems to be getting set up for a fall, just like in Vanuatu, but she'd be my number 6 pick), Jason (He's in with Tracy and Kathy, possibly with them as distractions for him, and he did get the Alexis confessional in episode 1, so he's my number 5 pick)
