Yep, James lost a stupid gamble, but as has been already pointed out, it was completely refreshing to see him accept responsibility for his actions instead of
the usual whining about being back-stabbed, etc. Finally, a bootee who recognizes that Survivor is a game.

But I love that the Immunity Idols are not a sure thing and that people actually were smart and got rid of him. But it was nice that he had such a mature attitude about it. As entertaining as angry bitter people can be on the final episode I hate what cry babies most of these people turn into. |

Its a shame he got voted out, yet it was refreshing to see him booted for some reason. I like James.

James game was over once his alliance decided to turn on him. He has shown that he's not the II horse that many expected as the games are not purely
physical anymore. He needed to win two immunities as well as use both his HII's to get to the final three. His best bet was to hope that his alliance
stayed true which is why he harped on keeping the five together because then he knew he was set for F3 and likely the money. For that reason he should have
realized that he was a huge threat - he even said alliances only work when they are mutually beneficial - what benefit was it to the others to keep him around
anymore? He should have seen the writing on the wall, but it wouldn't have mattered anyways. I guess he would have had a fighting chance. His only tie to
the alliance was his vote, and at this stage 5 vs 1 or 4 vs 2 is the same deal.
However he relied on his HII's too much and never formed bonds within the five. He saw his game as easy once he got to the five as he was safe and clear sailing. He needed to make his vote valuable, and to do that he needed to jump to PG and Erik along with one other member(preferably Denise). That way their F4 would have been 2 vs 2 and Erik and PG won more II's so far in the game. |

James took a huge gamble and lost. BURN! However, I'd still bet on him winning a poker game against Jean Robear |

The sad thing is that even if he used the idol, he had one left AND had STILL had the possibility of winning one of the next two Individual Immunity
Challenges. Although I wish he would have used it, I'm glad he is out now. If he would have made the final 3 there was no way he would have won the game.
Everybody would have been bitching: "you are only here because Todd gave you the idols and you didn't play the game wahh wahh wahh."

I don't know why the jury were laughing, they had some nerve doing that. It's not as if they benefitted from it, despite knowing he had bith HII's.
They already got what they deserved for not outsmarting the remaining castaways first. As for PG and Todd, they are two smug bitches. I'd say James taking
it like a man put them halfway in their place. As soon as I saw both of them smile, I was thinking "don't worry PG and Todd it will come back to bite
you in the ass."

Our eleven week old puppy who was watching his second epi of Survivor could see the mistake James was making. But then, we have a very bright puppy who learns
quickly and adapts well.

I know it's been mentioned but James had to have picked up on some weird vibes or body language. How can James be oblivious to not sensing that something
wasn't quite right? He even admitted he didn't on his instincts afterwards. Also being oblivious to not helping out Todd with the HII as per their
deal?
Class exit though. |
