I don't think this is the best, at least not yet. But A LOT of people have a shot at winning.
In my opinion....People I thought had a shot to win at some point from The Top 12 onward Season 2: (Ruben & Clay) Season 3: (Fantasia,Diana,LaToya) Season 4: (Carrie,Bo,Nadia) Season 5: (Ace,Chris,Elliott,Katharine,Kellie,Taylor,Paris,Mandisa) Season 6: (Blake,Jordin,Melinda) Season 7: (Carly,Michael,David A.,David C.,Jason,Brooke) |

Actually the could be on to something.... I think there are a lot more semi-talented people this year as opposed to like 4 semi-talented and like 8 horrendous
people...
However... This is when I wish we had reverse voting.... because all I really want is for KKKristy and Screamesha to go... beyond that anything is welcome to happen.... I will say this is definently the most talented group of guys we have had since ... ever... They all have some talent and there are no JPLs, John Stevens, Josh Gracins, Sanjayas, Chris Richardsons, Corey Clark |

There are def more people with a shot at winning this season. I think there are alot of talented people this season. But I still think S5 had more
exceptional people. Remember, one day you'll have to pay $ to hear them sing. Right now, I wouldn't do that for any of them.
Still much,much better than last year. |

I remember how excited most people were about the top 12 in AI5, but the bad theme nights and bad song selections and some who never lived up to the hype made
that top 12 much worse than anticipated. (that season was more about personalities anyway).

You can't really say for sure until the season is over. If most of this season's contestants flop, people will say it was a failure.
Season 5 produced a 4 million album seller and a bunch of gold album sellers. That's a tough act to follow. |

For me Season 3 and 6 were the absolute worst AI seasons ever. Horrible singers, too many divas, and just boring. Season 7 seems so far on par with Season 2
and Season 4.

It's definitely a diverse group, but diverse often equals "good", which is what this season's performances have been so far. Nothing
outstanding, they're all IMO pretty middle of the road.
What I do love is that sans Archuleta, there's about five or six people who could win. All of the others had clear cut favorites and that was that. |

I know a lot of people like Season 2, but for me it still had that over the top, extremely cheesy factor that the earlier seasons had. Next to Season 3 and 6 it's probably my least favorite. |

S5 had the largest album seller of the BB year (Daughtry's old album outsells Carrie's new one) , two artists who sold 700K plus, two country artists
with the biggest debuts of the year, one gold indie album w/a massive top 40 hit and two that didn't sell albums but got nominated for Grammys
(Mandisa/Ace). Plus a girl who's in every tabloid mag and TV show. When S7 equals that it will be as good. S7 benefits from not immediately following S5
so it looks better than it is.
Right now S5 artist have sold a total of about 6.5 million albums and some of them continue to sell albums. And that's a season where the winner and runner up are considered flops. For comparison sake - S6 has sold a total of about 800K albums to date. S5 might even sell more albums than Carrie huge S4 album. I think Daughtry will go 5xplat.

I actually like this season a lot, despite some in the Top 12 I don't really like. This is my favourite Season since 5 and 2. This year is way better
than last year, in my opinion. Last year, I hardly watched and didn't care at all.

Putting my personal bias aside, this had the potential to be a very good Top 12. There aren't really any so-called joke contestants, such as Sanjaya,
Kevin, Corey, etc. As far as being the best, however, that has yet to be seen. Either way, as of right now I'm already liking the potential of this season
more than last season, which may have been the worst season ever.
