It also must really suck to have spent all time with coaches, stylists, etc. only to find out it may all have been for naught. These pageants are "big business" these days. This is probably more true of the Miss Universe franchise than the Miss America one.
I feel kind of bad for them, but on the other hand it is an entirely entertaining premise--sure to prompt lots of emotional break downs. I hope that the judging for the actual pageant really does reflect what they say they are looking for this year and not just end up with another beauty queen clone as Miss America.
