It's on tonight at 8. They have accomplished one thing with this show. I will be watching for the first time in a real long while because I want to see
what happens :)

What exactly does one have to do to win the "Quality of Life" thing? And when is this shitty pageant on?They have to turn in an essay about their platform. The nine girls who get selected then have to interview for it. |

i watched a little of this today since they had all the episodes on
they had questioned people 'off the street' about what they remembered about watching the miss america pagent years ago..... i remember watching it when i was a kid, but it was only because there were only three tv stations that we got on our tv and i'd imagine that's why other people watched it back then too, and the lack of internet porn in the 70's |

I'm glad Miss Utah got voted through even though she reminds me of Crazy Alex from OLTL.

Hilarious bad porn music for the bathing suit walk.

I am really happy with most of the contestants that got into the top 15 although my home state didn't get a place. Really happy that Miss Utah got voted
through.

I love that Miss Utah stuck up for herself -- the one-piece bathing suit and all. She's definitely true to herself -- and not wearing one of those horrid
two pieces edged in gold.

After all the drama she went through in the reality show, Miss Florida is looking good to me.

I like the ones the show sold us on -- Florida and Washington. Indiana's OK but I'm not crazy about her. I like Utah but she'll never get it.
It's interesting to me that besides those it's the traditional powerhouse states/region that made it through -- California and the South. Did Miss
Texas make it too?

Almost all of the ones that I liked were cut during this round. Mainly Florida and Utah. Loved that Miss Utah did the push-ups after she was eliminated.

Push-ups? | ||

We were sad to see Utah go. What was the purpose of the push-ups?

She was a marine I think.
Oh and Miss Michigan has a WHORE'S dress! |

Virginia with the slutty Britney look gown.
Washington's gown is great. Iowa's is nice. California's is classic pageant gown. Michigan's is horrible -- one of those flesh-colored Goldie Hawn nightmares. I like Texas's. Whoa, I like the flowiness of Wisconsin's really red red gown. Georgia's got another one of those slutty super-low plunging necklines. Oh God. Indiana, the designer, has some purple horror on. Like a harem outfit. North Carolina's got a black mourning cummerbund around the middle of her white deb gown, cuz she's gonna lose. |

I liked Texas the best in gowns. The green/lilac stunned me at first but I looked again & loved it.
Agreeance on the whore dresses. |

Poor, poor Miss Michigan with a thin but earnest version of Somewhere Over the Rainbow. I'm reminded of a Jane Austen novel in which young women are urged
to perform their talents in the drawing room.
Well, California's not embarrassing herself with her opera. She actually seems OK at it. Oh dear Lord, did Indiana "design" this dress too?

I'm ready to see some baton twirling from Miss Iowa to get away from all of the people singing.

After all these years and still Vanessa Williams was the only person worth listening to in this.

Virginia's black slippers are sleek -- and that's all I cared for about all that.
