Hate the daughter. Fugly ugly but not near as ugly as that bitch Donna on That 70's Show. Wish her and Ashton Asshole Kutcher would have joined dickwad
Tony Snow in today's obituaries.

Just read at another site they made 13 episodes of this, and after it was done, Grant Show shaved off his mustache. So at least there are 7 more to see in the
coming weeks. Glad for that, I just hope it gets picked up for next summer or even on Showtime so we could see more of this.

When looking at imdb, the cast has only 6 or 7 episodes next to their names. HOWEVER, clicking on the "Season 1" tab there, they show at least 9
episodes!
Heatwave Puzzlerama Swingus Interruptus Knowing there are more than just 7 episodes just made my day! Thanks Tigress!! |

Here is a bit more information I found. This is quoted from another site, I didn't write it, but its really interesting. A big thank you to someone named
'whenihadhair'.
"They have completed shooting 13 episodes, which writer Mike Kelley says he has condensed into a complete package that has a major cliffhanger on the end for "EVERYBODY". So, I think as long as the numbers stay level at Nielsen, they'll stick with the 13 episodes. I understand there is discussion about making it into a full season of 22 episodes by bringing it back as a mid-season replacement and doing another nine shows. With that in hand, they could market a DVD package. After that, I think it will pretty much depend on the numbers to see if it is renewed for a second season, continues through next summer and then wraps, only shows up again next summer, etc. CBS's problems seem to be with advertisers and the PTC. I think they realize they have a very strong loyal fan base to build from. But if the advertisers won't support the show because they are AFRAID of PTC backlash, we're sunk. For example, Norelco yanked their ads after the first episode because of five measly complaints. That's why I have encouraged viewers to give CBS ideas for advertisers on the main CBS forum, because if we are the fans telling them what ads we'd like to see, that gives them ammunition to approach those advertisers. The biggest question for advertisers is not the money . . . but are people watching my ads and potentially reacting? Another problem is that the PTC has been somewhat successful in having local CBS affiliates pre-empt Swingtown for something else because of its
'inappropriate' content. Of course, they use such general terms because it could mean anything. Does someone on Swingtown have chronic bad breath? Of
course, mutiliated bodies and decapitated torsos on cop shows are apparently okay, and infidelity on soaps in the afternoon at the same time as Barney the
Dinosaur is also apparently okay."

Wow, that's so pathetic. Swingtown is probably the LEAST offensive show on the air...why the controversy? Do these sponsors watch DAYTIME tv? Anything you
see on daytime is far racier than just about anything on network primetime tv.

What is the PTC?
edit: oh google is my friend Parents Television Council If anything people want to see a hell of a lot MORE sex on this show and get dee-nied! Kids really want to be watching a show set in the 70's with adults swinging and kids getting emotionally fucked up, they get that at home already. Yeah right. Let the adults have fun ONCE. |

If the little fuckers are still up at 10 watching this their lousy parents deserve what they get.

How is it worse than just about anything on daytime and several nighttime shows? Did I miss something along the way? Maybe I'm too old and desensitized to it, but I don't find this to be racy in the least. Aren't there worse things on primetime? |

It's on my DVR as on tonight and set to record. I always watch Fear Itself and then watch it after. |

i dont think the PTC actually watches the shows. the premise is enough to get their sensible underwear in a twist. they have no idea that the content of other
shows is worse
