Judd Sergeant (Guatemala) 
Immidiately my pre-show fave because he fit the bill as the macho meathead who would piss off posters here, Judd turned out to be a huge personnal dissapointement for me. From his pre-show interview, he appeared as a jolly good fellow, but on the actual show he was seen as extremely mean, rude, very hypocritical and borderline abusive to women (incident with Margaret). Of course that theory was quickly disproven once he became StepheME's lapdog, dissapointing me even more. But he did provide entertainment, very much so. Forgetting that 95% of the season was dedicated to StepheME, he was hands down the most contreversial and entertaining cast member of that season. His exit alone goes down in history where he proved to us that he wasn't such a good sportmanship, man! I have learned to accept Judd for who he is though. He was being himself and it was naive of me to expect any better. Just like you wouldn't expect Johnny Fairplay to be a sweet guy. Yes, he would've been much higher on my list had he shown some class and maturity, but then again he probably would've been much more boring too. But Judd is Judd and he was a great character. he also looks like a great drinking buddy. Courtney Yates (China) 
I've always been a very reluctant Courtney fan. The main reason? Because I think she was overrated and overhyped due to the fact that the two previous seasons before her were completely devoid of women with personalities. Along comes Courtney, makes a bitchy comment about the Bhuddist ceremony and ZOMG!! Sucksters come flocking to her like she was the greatest thing since slice bread. I don't fall so easily for someone. But with time, Courtney has managed to won me over. She had the best one-liners of this season. Her quirky comments and bitchy attitude actually seemed ligit unlike Cesternino's "witty" comments and Shane's "crazy persona". She provides great entertainment and makes you uncertain if you should root for her or hope that she gets booted, yet even if you don't like her, like I didn't at the beginning of the season, you still oddly want her to stick around and not just because you wanna see if she'll wither away due to her body size. Here's hoping Courtney makes the China finale very memrable |

Jean-Robert Bellande (China) 
Have we ever had such a complexe character as J-R? I think not. He's been voted off several weeks ago and I still can't decided if I liked or hated the guy. He was such a question mark throughout his entire stay in China. One minute a douchebag, the next an underdog. J-R went through the entire spectrum of personality. By his sher apperance alone he stood out as he was freakishly tall, out of shape and looked like he was so out of his element. J-R pretty much fueled Courtney to give us entertaining confessionals and made many other people scramble to get him ousted, like a cockroach that just wouldn't die. He seemed like a perv most of time even with james when he displayed his ass for everyone to see. I doubt we'll ever have such a character as he was. But if everyone was as complexe as J-R, Survivor would be top notch entertainment. I'm still dying to see how he handles the final 3 in his jury session. Tammy Leitner (Marquesas) 
I know most of you probably forgot all about her, but Tammy has always been of my all time favortie Survivor chicks. From the first episode, I thought she was inevitably(sp?) our winner. She had all the criteria: smart, strong, competitive and most of all not afraid to lie, cheat, backstab in order to win. That in itself is something we rarely see in Survivor women. She immidiately became the respected, silent leader at Rotu and when the switch occured she managed to keep her cool and remain diplomatic with douchebags Mariano and Sean. Unfortunately, her alliance with John was her downfall and it indeed went downhill from there on out. She became an underdog but because she used to be in a position of power that she stupidly blew away and because New Maraamu were so popular, viewers didn't really care for her anymore. Still, she managed to display some Xena warrior princess in a few challenges that allowed her to stay a bit longer. She stuck it to Zoe and most of all she stuck it to the Christian hypocrites in her jury speech which reeked of sour grapes, yet was well worded and classy at the same time "But you beat me at my own game, so congratulations." It was probably the most memorable jury speech since Sue back then. There's no doubt in my mind that had she not stupidly alligned herself with John, she'd be a millionaire and our first stong woman winner. |
