But I'll totally agree on Michelle. Sure, she's sweet but the only memorable thing she did was fall off during the blindfold challenge...and she wasn't even blindfolded. I loved her during Fiji but I don't know that she lives up to the hype. Anyway...Joel is a great pick. Totally underrated as a player and a character. I've gone back and forth with Darrah over the years but after watching CI and Fiji and realizing that half the women in those seasons would kill to have as much airtime as she did, I'm in the like camp. |

At risk of giving TA something else to hate me for, I still think Darrah's incredibly overrated, and that half of her popularity stems from the fact that
she was the spoiled winner of PI.

Colby Donaldson (Australian outback) 
I am surely going to lose a lot of supporters with this next block, but to quote a random pissed off teenage girl from the Maury show: "Wha'ever, I do wha I wan!!" It probably comes at no surprise to any of you seeing Mr.Donaldson on this list since he was the original alpha-male/dominator. Since then they have been desperately trying to clone him just about every other season, much to the dismay of scrawny Survivor geeks. But it seems most people here only give him credit for immunity wins, when really, I still think he was one of the best strategists ever in this game. His immunity whorism was actually very secondary since he was never in danger of getting voted out and he never was in a any danger of getting voted out because he was always thinking two steps ahead, always focused on the prize. He might've have been one of the most competitive people to ever play this game and probably the player who did the best job of balancing physical prowess, strategy and social bonds. Of course this is all without considering his last minute bonehead move. And needless to say I
would've ranked him much higher if he didn't turned into such a mediawhore who acts like he's too good for Survivor now.
Amanda Kimmel (China) 
Everyone knows I loves me my hot brunettes who have gaming skills and Amanda fits the bill. Yes, she was yet another boring, bland, beauty queen but the reason she earns a spot on my list is for her gameplay and her lovely blurred ass. After 2 seasons of dud female contestants, I found Amanda's approach to the game very refreshing. For once we finally had a generic hot chick who just happened to be a fan of the show and actually wanted to *GASP* play. her "apple pie" confessional alone proved that she was much more than just another Amber. I'm still heartbroken that she lost tonight when it seems that in any other season she would've won in a landslide. Amanda was smart, strategic, cunning, calm, collected and tough as nails. Exactly how I like my women. |
