Terry Deitz (Panama)



No, he's not number 1, I'm not Kingpin. Anyways, everyone knows I have a penchant for people who go on this show and redefine PWNAGE, so obviously, Terry is way up there. At 47, he gave people half his age a run for their money, while most of us will be lucky if we don't weigh over 300lbs and reeking of diabetes at that age. Terry was one of the greatest antagonists in the show's history (shut up beatles!). As mucha as I loved Casaya, I loved Terry even more for becoming the cockroach that they just couldn't kill. He was a strategic retard, so he used the ol' immunity run in order to stay alive in the game, showing determination like we've rarely seen and shamelessly threw in the face of his opponents who called him arrogant, yet decided to eat burgers instead of trying to beat him (Hi pot, my name is kettle!). His constant immunity wins pretty much forced Casaya to start canibalizing each other which sent their booting plans haywire. It seemed so impossible to beat Terry, that some Casayans even started comtemplating alliging with him, proving that the old saying "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em" has some truth to it. And the men they all despised, gradually became more and more respected to the point where some Casaya members sent to the jury wanted him to win. His military background and Republican tones made a lot of people here hate him with a passion, which made me like him even more. I'm very liberal myself, but I just enjoyed how he made out-of-shape geeks here mad because they wished they were half the man he is. He's also one of the few, even probably, the only castaway to actually have sex while in the game.









Sandra Diaz-Twine (Pearl Islands)



Pre-show, many people wondered if Sandra was going to live up to the fiery latina stereotype. Not only did she lived up to it, she embraced it and shoved it down our throats. It took a little while, but the minute she snapped at Fairplay with "WHAT THE FUCK, I CAN GET LOUD TOO!!!!!!!!!!!" Most of us thought "Yep, there's the woman we were expecting". I still consider her the worst winner yet on this show from a gameplay perspective. She mostly played with her emotions, was constantly out of the loop and actually sabotaged herself with tamper tantrums and telling the jury that her F2 opponent was responsible for sending them on the jury (Which is the main objective of this game, dur!). She pretty much only one because people had bigger fish to fry. Still, that's what her such a huge character and a necessary presence in Pearl Islands. As much as I always admire rational players, we need those emotional wrecks, because we can relate to them, because they're human, like us.
