If she also took Courtney, it would have left Denise to stew by herself, instead of possibly getting Courtney as an ally. Also, when Amanda didn't know who to vote for in the final four, why didn't she vote for Courtney? She knew who Todd and Courtney were voting for and who Denise was voting for. Therefore, she could explain that she didn't want to backstab Denise by making Todd and Courtney vote her out. And she wasn't really backstabbing Courtney since she knew that she was safe. And she wasn't backstabbing Todd (by voting with Denise). And if she did what I said in the first paragraph, she can still get Denise's confidence (even though she didn't get chosen for the reward) by not voting Denise out.

" Just because Amanda could have voted for Todd would not have guaranteed that Todd would be out. It would have been a 2-2 vote with some type of tie-breaker. If Todd won, then Denise would still have been voted out and both Todd and Courtney could have used this against Amanda. Now I DO believe that Amanda made a mistake by not voting out Todd before. The jury seemed to be ticked off at Amanda for not doing anything too strategic. If she had made the others (Todd and Courtney) break the bond of four by them voting out Denise, it may have been seen as a very stategic move.

It appears that Todd pulled Courtney through the entire game, coached her, and kept her safe. So, perhaps she only talked about voting off Todd to see if Courtney would do it, while having the feeling all along that she wouldn't.

Either move would have put her in a better position for winning the jury vote. Todd said in an interview if he was voted off, he'd vote for Courtney to win. Really? That surprises me, I would have thought that even if Amanda voted him off that he'd still probably vote for her, based on the idea that she played the best game.

But even if Courtney wouldn't vote for Todd, Amanda would still have been better off if she voted for Todd herself and forced a tiebreak. That way, she gets rid of Todd or Denise but doesn't lose Denise's jury vote.

I mean, it's easy to say that now, but if she was up against Denise/Courtney, I think she has a better shot. Of course, losing to Todd is probably better than losing to Denise.

They'd both appreciate it, and all three ladies could talk without the interference or worry that Todd would be scheming to get one of them off.

She would have quite likely won had she brought Denise and Courtney, assuming she didn't fall flat on her face in that situation either. The jury wanted to reward a player who gave the best case. No surprise Todd would vote for Courtney. As we've seen from post-show interviews, he's the closest to her. He would vote for a close ally rather than a person who backstabbed him, "best player" or not. Post-show, Courtney also said she would have voted out Todd if Amanda did so, even though Todd helped her out the most in the game. She wasn't lying about that to Amanda. She looks better without makeup. As most pageant girls do...
