The only other LONG shot but somewhat plausible answer is Valentine's Day but ONLY if you count each one of those little Valentine's Day cards that kids pass out in schools for those rinky dink parties as a "purchased card".

Considering most stores sell BOXES of Christmas cards, people get pictures taken FOR Christmas cards, and mostly everyone receives at LEAST 10 Christmas/Happy
Holiday cards in the mail.

I became a lawyer because I didn't like math and I had no idea what a prime number was. I was hoping one of the titles was Seven, because that is the only
number I knew was a prime number.
Now, I'm going to go hide. |

I had a 10 minute argument with a friend over that one. He couldn't figure that the average Xmas sender uses 15-40 cards per...only one for Mothers Day.
Still , that dweeb has a mill, could a mail order bride be far behind?

It was totally unsuspenseful after they gave away that someone won the million on the previews. The questions seemed really easy, although I almost got
tripped up on the last one and thought Mother's Day until I realized lots of people send like 50 cards at Christmas. I think I got it confused with the
Duel question about Mother's Day being the holiday that the most people go out to eat, and I think it is also the day the most flowers are sent. Anyway,
easiest mil ever.

I had my doubts about the card question only because I remember hearing people bitch about THE SWEETEST DAY being a bullshit occasion that Hallmark came up
with just to sell more cards (which made me think that perhaps Hallmark sells more Valentine's cards than Christmas cards, especially since it seems like
most people buy boxes of cards to mail).

I enjoy the new format. It's exciting to see the things tick off & the money add up. Plus, I like that it's not all drawn out. It moves faster
than DOND & Duel.
I loved all the sexual references in the weight lifting question. That was really funny. But I even knew the correct answer after watching lifting comps maybe twice. It was easy if you just pictured a lifter with his barbells. There's no "thrusting" & there certainly isn't any "rubbing". I'm glad this is back. Next week we get Ross the Intern as part of the 100. YaY! |

I'm glad its back...I liked this show.
But for god sakes...(having missed the episode tonight), can somebody please bring me good news and tell me they've increased the pace of this show? That was its only problem...they moved too god damn slow. 1 vs 100! *Question*. (Insert commercial here). 1 vs. 82! *Question* (Insert yet another commercial). 1 vs. 69! *Question* (Insert pointless banter...........) *Question* (And insert yet another commercial). |

Did the girl who got the prime number question go home with nothing? Or did she at least get to keep some of the money? |

Jessfrogger88 wrote: Nope. That's Bob Saget for you! If you ever see his comedy routine he is NO Danny Tanner! lol And I was thinking Mother's Day because not everyone celebrates Christmas nor does everyone have a significant other. Then when I heard the answer I was like DUH! - it's the one and only holiday where everyone thinks that they need to send cards to everyone they know and their dogs. Does anyone else wonder if it was rigged that not ONE of those ladies guessed Christmas? |

When they said someone would win followed by showing the geeky kid and then the airhead blonde I thought it would have been a complete red herring. I was expecting the blonde to turn out and be like a nuclear physicist or something. Sort of like on Duel, that belly dancer seemed to be a random dumb blonde and she turned out to be pretty smart. I guess not though, she really was stupid. |

I think I'm the only one who cared, but I was happy to see the guy win the million. Sometimes I hate the contestants on these shows, but he seemed like a
sweet guy.
Also, I wasn't sure it was going to be him that won the million...at least until the last question when they all got it wrong. I like the new format. Now they just need to get rid of Bob Saget. |

well, I sure didn't know that first question of the girl's...I've never heard him..
I liked the kid...he wasn't obnoxious like the Deal hillbillies couldn't believe out of 15 people not one of them guessed Christmas I was thinking it thru not everyone is Christian but, everyone or most everyone has a mother but Christmas cards are bought and mailed in multiples. they probably all thought it was a trick question I don't mind Saget too much because he moved it along like the count down on the board |

Well at after four in the morning when I woke up and watched this on Tivo, I wasn't too keen on logic or math skills - so it bugged me.
I checked at Hallmark.com and here's the stats: Holiday Card-Sending StatisticsAmericans exchange greeting cards for many reasons during the year, and holidays continue to be popular times for card sending. This chart provides Hallmark's estimates for U.S. greeting card industry statistics for the top card-sending holidays:
