Many of the changes they implemented over the last few seasons had a big impact on increasing the likelyhood of males winning and reducing the likelyhood of women winning. China for the most part fixed this; Amanda certainly had a good chance of winning and simply blew it at the end.

HII - With the other tribe picking the exile, it was usually a strong male sent to exile island, hence a strong male getting the HII clues and the HII itself. There have been eight HII in the show's history. All eight were held by males.

Reduced post merge - The F3 and late merges in both Cook Islands and Fiji reduced the amount of post-merge boots by two players. Males are always at higher risk of being booted post merge, and as a result these resulted in two less TCs where they were at risk.

Elaborate challenges tilted in males favor - Exile Island and Cook Islands had most of the individual immunity challenges tilted in a male's favor. From EI through Fiji, a female only won 2 individual immunity challenges. Luckily China had challenges that were much more fair, and females actually ended up winning most of them

Very strong males casted, very weak females casted - Extremely strong male challengers like Terry, and Ozzy were casted. There was never any female equivalent. In fact many of the females casted were extremely weak, or were absolutely pathetic from a game standpoint, like Sundra who settled for 4th place.

I wouldn't say the F3 on its own tilts in a man's favor, although certainly the one less post-merge boot certainly helps the guys more than the girls. A woman like Cassandra who did nothing to earn the jury's respect is going to lose to a guy or girl who played the game in a stronger and more outward way regardless of whether there's 2 or 3 facing the jury. Certainly in her case she would have certainly beat Dreamz in a F2, but thats a singular case that I wouldn't say speaks for all women's chances.

ETA: And Kirblar said something that I had forgotten, the extended pre-merge too. Women are generally more likely to be booted pre-merge and a strong male is more likely to be kept simply for his strength. With the larger cast the odds are higher that more women will be gone by the merge. Fiji certainly was as bad as you can get, with Jessica, Erika, Sylvia, Lilliana, Rita, Lisi and Michelle all booted before the merge (not to mention one extra male to start with due to the quitter), leaving only 2 women there.
